Starting Point Stuff

Welcome to the Family!

We are so happy to have you as apart of our church.

As you heard in Starting Point, our desire is not to see you be a spectator but a family member at Bannockburn. To that, I have four specific encouragements for you as you step into our church:

Prayer

Please continue to seek the Lord in prayer as you join our family. Pray for our leaders, our people, and our ministries, as well as your place here in our church. Pray that in all we do, the Lord Jesus will be glorified! Remember that prayer does not so much prepare us for the work, but it is the greatest work we could all be doing! No matter who you are and what your stage in life, or even your availability, we ask you to pray.

Review What Matters Most

Please make sure you’re familiar with our doctrinal statement. These truths from God’s Word are precious to us and shape everything we do at Bannockburn. Understanding them provides insight into the “why” behind our practices and priorities.

Connect with Your Family in Community

As part of the family, we encourage you to engage with fellow members through Life Groups and serving. Explore our Life Groups to find your best fit—a place where you can both receive and give love, care, and service to others in our church. Our serving roles are also online and provide a wide range of opportunities for a wide range of people.

Make Giving to the Lord a Priority

Giving is a response to the mercy we’ve received from God through Jesus. It’s not an obligation but an act of worship that pleases God and deepens our faith and trust in Him. To be sure, the Lord is the one who meets our needs as a church, but He invites us all to join in worshipping Him through prayerful, sacrificial, and cheerful giving in response to all that Jesus has done for us.
